Kakao Co., Ltd. and Hanwha Construction Division jointly established the Ansan Forena Library.

Kakao announced on the 2nd that it has jointly established a library in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, in partnership with Hanwha Construction.

Kakao held the opening ceremony of the Forena Library 102 at Ansan Peace House in Sangnok-gu, Ansan on the 1st, attended by Kim Dae-soon, vice mayor of Ansan Peace House, Kim Kyung-soon, head of Kakao’s asset development department, Park Se-young, and officials.

The Forena Library Creation Project is to remodel idle spaces in social welfare facilities and donate books to create a small library for the disabled and the underprivileged. It is a social contribution program continuously conducted by Hanwha Co., Ltd.

Kakao is building a state-of-the-art data center and industry-academic cooperation facility on Hanyang University’s Erica campus. In order to contribute to the local community in Ansan City, half of the amount was sponsored to jointly participate in the establishment of the 102nd store.

Ansan Peace House, where Forena Library is located, is a living facility for the developmental disabled, providing daily life training and vocational experience training to residents, and supporting social independence, medical services, nutritional meals, education programs, and social psychology services. The two companies remodeled the rest area on the first floor of the Ansan Peace House and used Kakao Friends characters to make it a space with a cozy and comfortable feeling.
