The iPhone 14 hit ‘Red Light’?…Foxconn has confirmed COVID-19 at its factory in China
Apple’s ‘iPhone 14 Series’ met with a box office ambush. A COVID-19 confirmed case came out at Foxconn’s Chinese factory, which produces half of iPhones. Considering China’s quarantine policy, uncertainties in Apple’s supply chain have increased.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) on the 26th, a COVID-19 confirmed case occurred at Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant in China.
Foxconn is a consignment producer of Apple products. The Zhengzhou plant is known to be responsible for half of iPhone production. Three hundred thousand people work.
The SCMP reported that “Foxcon’s production at its Zhengzhou plant is relatively stable,” adding, “There are only a few confirmed COVID-19 patients and they are managed by separating them from other employees.”
